Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 9, 2026

MedList does not collect any data. It has no servers, no user accounts and no analytics, and it makes no network requests of its own. Nothing you enter in MedList leaves your phone.

What MedList stores on your phone

All of the following is stored locally on your iPhone and is never transmitted to us or to anyone else:

Medication names are free text you type. MedList has no drug database and no way of knowing what they refer to. Deleting MedList removes all of the above.

Backups

Because the data lives in the app's own storage on your phone, it is included in your phone's backups — iCloud Backup, or a backup to a computer — in the same way as any other app's data. Those backups are made by Apple's software under your Apple Account and are covered by Apple's Privacy Policy. MedList does not sync, and we have no access to your backups.

Notifications

Reminders are local notifications, scheduled and delivered by iOS on your phone. No notification passes through any server of ours. Acting on a reminder — Taken, Snooze, Skip — records the result on your phone only. MedList uses Apple's Time Sensitive notification entitlement so that a reminder can break through Focus modes; it does not use it for anything else.

Exports

When you export the log as text, a spreadsheet or a PDF, MedList creates the file on your phone and hands it to the iOS share sheet. Where it goes from there — a message, an email, a file — is your choice, and the recipient's handling of it is not covered by this policy.

Purchases

MedList Pro is a one-time in-app purchase handled entirely by Apple. We never see your name, payment details or Apple Account. Your purchase is confirmed on your phone through Apple's StoreKit, and MedList stores only a local flag indicating that Pro is unlocked. Apple may provide us with aggregate, anonymous sales reports; those contain no personal information.

Data sharing

There is nothing to share. We do not collect, sell, rent or transfer personal information, and MedList contains no third-party SDKs, advertising or tracking of any kind.

Health information

A medication log is sensitive information. It is exactly as private as your phone: protected by your passcode and Face ID, encrypted by iOS at rest, and never copied anywhere by MedList. MedList does not read or write Apple Health.

Children

MedList is designed for the person giving the medication and is not directed at children. Because the app collects no data from anyone, it collects no data from children regardless of whose medications are being tracked.

Your rights

Privacy laws such as the GDPR and CCPA give you rights to access, correct or delete personal data a company holds about you. We hold none. The data MedList creates lives on your phone and is entirely under your control; deleting the app deletes it.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date. Material changes will also be noted in the app's release notes.
